Advanced Placement Chemistry

This is a college level class (i.e. this is equivalent to a college freshmen chemistry class). Students taking this class are expected to take the AP Chem exam in May.

Chemical Structures and Interactions
This is a full-year chemistry course with two goals in mind:
1. Provide a course that covers essential chemistry topics for juniors and seniors who have not yet had a course in chemistry. Successful completion of this course will make it possible for students to take many other advanced science courses at GHAMAS.
2. Provide a chemistry course to students who have already taken a year of chemistry, but need to improve their knowledge base of the subject before taking other advanced science courses at GHAMAS.

Foundations in Chemistry
This is a first-year Honors level chemistry course. Students enrolled in this class should be taking Algebra II or have successfully completed Algebra II. NOTE: Many students concurrently take Geometry, but will find some of the mathematical concepts and calculations challenging.
